Activities
Each month, our Club puts together a calendar of activities (click here for sample). We offer a wide range of daytime activities, when at-home mothers most need support. Children are welcomed at all MOMS Club activities with the exception of the monthly MOMS Night Out, and members can choose which events to attend. Acitivities vary from month to month. Some of the activities we have had on our calendar in the past include:

  • MONTHLY MEETINGS
Monthly meetings are open to all current and prospective members. We discuss upcoming events and service projects, share ideas for next month, and sometimes have speakers share about topics relative to at-home moms.
  • PARK PLAYS
While the weather is nice, we meet often at area parks. We schedule these at various times of the day and in a variety of nearby parks.
  • PLAY DATES
Play dates are organized by the children's year of birth. We rotate meeting at different homes and/or parks. Siblings are welcome to attend as well.
  • HOLIDAY PARTIES
These are a chance for members and their families to get to know one another and celebrate the holidays together.
  • COUPLES / FAMILY NIGHT OUT
Several times a year we get together in the evening as couples or families, as a chance for members to socialize and get to know partners.
  • FIELD TRIPS
Past trips have included the Minnesota Zoo, The Children's Museum, Maple Maze, etc.
  • BABYSITTING CO-OP
The Babysitting Co-op meets monthly at rotating houses, so you get a chance to meet the moms and view the homes. These meetings are also a nice way for the moms to build friendships and see how well the children interact with one another. All co-op participants are given coupons to trade with one another for babysitting hours.
  • MOVING TO MUSIC
This fun activity gives the kids a chance to shake the sillies out by dancing, singing and playing musical instruments.
  • MAKE-N-TAKE MEALS
Who couldn't use a few extra meals stacked up in the freezer? This activity brings moms and ingredients together and ends with some oven-ready meals to take home.
  • COMMUNITY EVENTS
We often take advantage of library story times, plays and other free events in the community.
  • COFFEE CHATS
Members and their children meet at a local coffee shop or family center where the moms can enjoy some java while the kids play.
  • CLUBS
Our club likes to take advantage of members' hobbies and incorporate them into our calendar. Some of the clubs we have offered include: book club, walking club, craft club, scrapbooking, and cooking club.
  • Other facets of our club include SERVICE PROJECTS and MOMS Night Out.
